English Support

We believe that proficiency in English is essential for success in our international community. With the global economy and interconnected world of today, proficiency in English is increasingly important, opening doors to future success.

We therefore offer smaller, specialised Foundation and Intensive Language support classes for students who need additional help with the language.

Chinese
Languages: Chinese

Chinese (Mandarin) is one of the most important language offerings at Anglo. With China’s growing influence in the region and on the world stage, we believe that fluency in Chinese offers our students greater opportunities for success. Moreover, with approximately 15% of the world’s population speaking Chinese, learning the language is also a practical choice.

Our Chinese language educators, who are native speakers, utilise their knowledge of the language, as well as their understanding of Chinese culture, heritage, history, and tradition to fully engage our students in their language learning.

Thai
Languages: Thai

Thai language instruction is offered as part of our curriculum, in line with government regulations. We believe that learning Thai is essential for our students to integrate into the local community and to communicate effectively.

Our Thai language programme emphasises grammar, syntax, and vocabulary, while also integrating cultural learning. Primary school students receive tailored Thai language instruction, with Thai nationals receiving more advanced language training and non-Thai students receiving a basic course in Thai language and culture.

Korean
Languages: Korean

Korean is one of our core language offerings. With lessons taught by fully qualified native teachers using the Korean national curriculum, Korean nationals can rest assured that their child may easily transition back to education in Korea when needed and will grow up with an appreciation for the language, culture and customs of home.

Japanese
Languages: Japanese

Japanese native speakers receive Kokugo lessons from fully qualified, native Japanese teachers who follow the Japanese national curriculum standards and methods. This approach ensures that students become fully proficient in their mother tongue and will be well-prepared to return to Japan in the future, if they choose to do so.

Enrichment
Non-core Subjects

Our students can explore their creativity and artistic expression through our art, music, and drama classes, while our PE programme emphasises teamwork, sportsmanship, and a healthy lifestyle. We foster a love for reading and appreciation for books in our library time, and our computing classes provide coding skills and promote responsible digital citizenship.

Additionally, our chess lessons promote mental agility and strategic thinking, and our global perspectives programme helps students develop research, analysis, evaluation, communication, and collaboration skills whilst learning about important global issues.
