Anglo Singapore International School teaches Korean language in many creative ways to cater to the varying levels and interests of each student. For Korean students, all of Koreans students are taught high-academic levels in Korean with national textbooks publishing by Korean government and also keeping a diary, creative writing (poems or story writing), reading habit, history, culture, tradition, manners, and fluent presentation and communication skills are emphasized.
As a result, Korean students gain well-balanced speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills and have sound identities as Korean. For non-Korean students, the emphasis is put on further enhancing their literacy and communication skills and also understanding toward Korean culture and tradition, ethics, history, manner, food, manner, life styles, and people.
The main focus of the program is to provide a learner-oriented class where students actively participate and all students will be evaluated through regular exams, quizzes, presentation and participation.
In the kindergarten curriculum, students are introduced Korean language mainly by songs, games, story telling, and other fun activities through out K1P level to K3 levels. They start to learn the Korean alphabet and basic sentences. Most of education materials are high quality importing from Korea.
Recently, the Korean Language is one of the most popular second languages in Asia due to remarkable Korean economic growth and cultural effects. Learning Korean language will be a good springboard for being a world citizen in the future.

앵글로 싱가폴 국제학교에서는 각 학생들의 수준과 요구에 맞춰 한국어를 가르치고 있습니다.
1. 모국어로 한국어를 배우는 학생들:
각 학년에 맞춰 한국교육과정과 동일한 국어 교재(국정교과서와 해법 국어)로 공부하고 있으며 일기 쓰기, 시나 소설 쓰기 등과 같은 작문 연습과 독서 습관을 가질 수 있도록 지도하고 있습니다. 더불어, 한국의 역사와 문화, 예절, 의사소통 능력과 발표력 향상을 위해 꾸준히 노력하고 있어 한국 학생들이 말하기, 쓰기, 읽기, 듣기 능력과 더불어 한국인으로서 정체성도 함께 갖출 수 있습니다.

2. 한국어가 모국어가 아닌 학생들:
한국어 읽고 쓰기와 회화(의사소통 기술)에 중점을 두고 있으며, 한국 문화와 전통, 윤리, 역사, 예절, 음식, 생활 방식과 한국인을 포함한 전반적인 한국에 대한 이해를 돕고 있습니다.
3. 유치부(K1P부터 K3까지):
주제에 맞는 이야기 나누기와 동요, 율동, 게임, 인지, 동화책 읽기 그리고 여러 가지 재미있는 활동을 통해 한국어를 가르치고 한국을 소개하며, 자모와 쉬운 단어, 기본적인 문장 순으로 단계별 수업을 합니다. 주교재와 대부분의 한국어 교재는 한국에서 사용하는 수준 높은 유치원 교재(동화 프로젝트 학습 프로그램’으뜸지기’)를 주문하여 사용하고 있습니다.
