In eager anticipation to showcase their Science projects, Primary 4 to Primary 6 pupils arrived at the gymnasium on Friday, 19th May, as early as 6.30 am to set up their booths. It was the day of the event they had been preparing for – Science Fair.
The Science Fair serves to provide real experiences for the pupils to collaborate with their team members and apply their scientific process skills learnt in the classroom. They were challenged to go beyond their classroom studies to work in teams on a Science project title that is of interest to them.
Through many interesting Science experiments at the Fair such as Phototropism, Electric Car, Quicksand, pupils shared what they had learnt from their own experiments with their schoolmates, and other members of the school. There was no doubt the pupils, especially the lower primary pupils, were awed by what they saw and this would hopefully, stimulate their interest in the subject and their desire to find out more for themselves about the world around them.
