BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma

Anglo Singapore International School is an approved Pearson centre offering the BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma—an applied, project-based qualification that carries the same university-entry value as three A Levels. Beginning in 2025-26, students may specialise in Art & Design or Information Technology. Each pathway spans two academic years, comprises more than 1,000 guided learning hours, and blends core units with specialist modules that mirror current industry practice. Coursework is internally assessed and quality-assured on campus, then externally sampled by Pearson, giving learners the chance to develop substantial portfolios, complete industry briefs, and present real-world projects to external audiences.

Entry is open to students who have completed Year 10 or IGCSE (or an equivalent programme) and who can demonstrate English proficiency at IGCSE grade C or IELTS 5.5. Throughout the course, learners build creative, technical and teamwork skills through studio sessions, coding labs, collaborative problem-solving and optional work-placement opportunities. Graduates emerge with a globally recognised credential, a portfolio that evidences professional competence, and the practical mindset valued by modern universities and employers—making BTEC an ideal route for students who excel through continuous, hands-on learning rather than high-stakes examinations.
