Military Training
Anglo is licensed to offer military student training through Thailand’s Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), open to both male and female pupils from Secondary 4 onwards. Male pupils who complete three years of training are exempt from the national military draft at the age of 21.
Training takes place primarily at weekends from September to December at the Territorial Defence School in Bangkok, with additional field camps at Khao Chon Kai during the second and third years. The programme is carefully structured to avoid any conflict with academic studies.
The School Director, who is also appointed as the Military Students’ Director by the Army Reserve Training Brigade and the Ministry of Education, provides ongoing support to pupils throughout the process.
Enrolment begins with a fitness assessment, which includes sit-ups, press-ups, and an 800-metre run. Participation in the ROTC helps to develop leadership, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility—essential qualities that contribute to both personal growth and academic success at Anglo.
